Social Emotional Counselor
My name is Ms. Ahed Abufeelat. I am the full time Social Emotional Counselor for grades K-12. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified School Counselor. My education and training are based on the American School Counselor Association’s (ASCA) National Model and the Strengths-Based School Counseling framework. My philosophy is student-centered, and solution focused. I integrate a solution-focused approach while providing individual counseling. I also have a special interest in incorporating the expressive arts into counseling techniques used with students. I believe in the power of creative expression to enhance the lives of students and discover their individual strengths. In short, I am passionate about working with children, identifying student need and developing programming to ensure student success.
