Dean, Student Affairs & School Operations – Ghada Fahmy

Ghada Fahmy is the Dean, Student Affairs & School Operations administrator at IFS. As a veteran educator, Mrs. Fahmy has served at Islamic Foundation School for over 17 years.  She has earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Education from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Mrs. Fahmy was the first Muslim woman to be appointed as a Villa Park Library Board of Trustees. She has been certified to register voters.  Mrs Fahmy has conducted workshops at the ISNA Educational Forum, and has been a team member with AdvancEd to accredit both private and public schools.

Mrs. Fahmy has taught at the Elementary and Middle School levels, focusing on providing a positive and nurturing environment. She was a previous Golden Apple Award Nominee for excellence in teaching. In addition, she has focused her efforts on extending learning outside of the classroom creating the first Math Club at IFS, Math Family Night, and organizing celebrations for “Pi Day”. During her tenure at IFS, Ms. Fahmy has also served as Student Council Sponsor, Disciplinarian and Summer School Coordinator. This is Ms. Fahmy’s fourth year as an administrator at IFS.

Mrs. Fahmy is a mother to five children all of whom attended or currently attend Islamic Foundation School. In her spare time, she dedicates her time to the  Islamic Center of Wheaton.  She also helps in various committees with ICNA, ISNA and MAS.
